Settling In Assistance

The purpose of Settling In Assistance is to provide specific destination information and counseling to the transferee and their family. The scope of services and information provided to the employee is specifically designed to meet each transferee’s and their family needs. This program is available to both home-buyers and renters on cross border and/or International assignment.

Before the arrival of the employee to be relocated to the destination location, Dada shall:

  • Consult by telephone with said person to determine his/her orientation needs;
  • Research specific orientation information to be provided according to indicated requirements;
  • Establish meeting time with employee during the house-hunting trip date or post move.

Upon arrival of the employee relocating to the destination location, Dada shall:

  • Meet said employee and family at the destination location;
  • Review all required orientation information such as schools, transportation, leisure;
  • Provide an introductory tour of the region that is specific to the transferees interests;
  • Provide specific destination counseling;
  • Return employee to destination location;
  • Provide employee with Orientation Package for new city.

After completion of steps 1 and 2, Dada shall:

  • Meet and discuss employee’s and family orientation requirements prior to departure from HHT;
  • Provide accompanied settling – in assistance re: opening bank account, applying for SIN card, driver’s license bureau, etc.

Pre Move to the destination location, Dada shall:

  • Research specific orientation information to be provided according to indicated requirements;
  • Establish meeting time with employee post move.

Post – Move, Dada shall:

  • Meet said employee and family at the destination location (new address or hotel);
  • Review all required orientation information such as transportation, leisure;
  • Provide an orientation tour of the region that is specific to the transferee’s profile;
  • Provide additional settling – in assistance re: Health Insurance coverage, and any other specific requirements;
  • Inform client contact when services have been completed.
  • Follow up with employee to ensure they experienced a smooth transition to Destination City and provide additional counseling if required.
